Budmouth

Here's a pattern I designed for Budmouth Sports Centre. It's not being used now but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Legomenopee:

Had way too much fun making this. I also remembered how much it
hurts to stand on Lego.

1ssueone:

Recently designed the logo for a new Bristol-based publication. Created by a collaboration of artists and designers, 1ssueone magazine should hit the streets of Bristol sometime next week but an online version is now visible www.issueone.co.uk. Theres also a blog of all 1ssueone antics at www.issueonemagazine.blogspot.com.

Pixels:

A hand-drawn tribute to Windows Paint. Thanks for all the good times. You're well worth the hour it takes to turn on our PC.

And then the trucks came over the hill:

Yeah I know it's early. Thought I'd make some chritsmas cards this year and have produced some delightful lino-prints to send to your loved ones! So far I've got a chimney, some baubles and a very bearded father christmas. More photos when printing happens.

Halloween:

Some little fella's I drew last week for a halloween poster.

Yet another beard:

Think I might have to break away from the Berol for a day. This would definitely look better as a lino cut.

One Ten:

Found this Keystone in a charity shop a while back and noticed it still had a 110 film in it with 11 shots already taken. Has the most pathetic shutter sound you've ever heard but pretty fun little camera. Finished of the film the other day and had it processed to find some lovely vacation shots of a couple in Gibraltar.

Wowz:

Had a bit of work experience in at Wowz Print this week. They're a small, independent print company who specialise in producing canvas box prints. However, they also incorporate a small design studio where I ended up working on a logo for local therapy business 'Quay therapy'.

Pandoriana pandora:

Drew some butterfys t'other day. This pattern's based on a Cardinal which is meant to be like a bricky red colour but I still think it looks better in purple. (Click here for the nice big one with lots of detail)

ZINE:

Started work on a split zine with Mr Alexander Payne. Finding it odd not working in colour so thought I'd post a nice shiny one before the mass production happens! TAPE WORM RECORDS/ZINE

Paint:

Dont think I'll be painting again in a hurry. It just gets
messy and I only end up going over it with a Berol anyway.

Beards and boards!

Just finished a series of B movie inspired posters commissioned by YDNA boardriders. Not my usual style but these black and white versions turned out pretty nice! Think they're gonna be tee's or something so will keep you posted...

Boredom:

Been drawing a lot of hats recently. Below: Hand-drawn pattern consisting of 3 caps and 3 beanies. Might use it for something some day but at the moment it's just a pattern. (Click to enlarge)

Apparently I collect a lot:

Just finished the business of unpacking a bunch of stuff after moving back to Weymouth almost 2 weeks ago. Never really thought of myself as a collector, but realised just how much stuff I actually find myself holding on to. Here's a few of my 3rd year Berol's...

A good mix of Epson and Aldi ink cartridges used in the last year of my degree...

Various bottletops...

Pretty sure everyones got a healthy stack of train tickets. Heres mine from the last two years...

Selection of bear mats from Bristol, Bath, Austria, Weymouth and Portland...

And some of my favourite holepunches...
